【レザークラフト】手帳型スマホケースを作る / [leather craft] Making a Smartphone case

今回はスマートフォンケース。実はレザークラフトを始めてからスマホケースを作るのは初めて。なので、あまり凝った構造にせずシンプルに仕立ててみました。Melody Channelさんの動画を観ていたらムショーにスマホケースが作ってみたくなってしまった…。だいぶ型落ちの機種ですが、YouTubeの撮影でもずいぶん活躍してくれました。せっかくケースでお化粧したので、もうちょっと頑張ってもらおう。

レザークラフトでスマホケースを作るのは簡単そうに見えて、使いやすいものを作るのは結構難しいと感じています。市販のケースのようにカブセを逆側に折り畳める構造にしたいし、サイズ感も重要。常に持ち歩き１日に何度も手にするものだからこそ、使い勝手が命ですね。

今回は柔らかいクロムのシボ革と、Melody Channelさんで紹介されていた超強力両面テープを駆使して懸念事項をクリアできました。

それにしても、安いポンチは切れ味が悪いなぁ…。

I made a smartphone case this time. It’s actually the first time I’ve made a smartphone case since I started making leather goods. So I made it with a simple structure. When I was watching Melody Channel’s video, I suddenly wanted to make a smartphone case …。 My smartphone is quite an old model, but it also worked well for shooting YouTube videos. Since I put on makeup with a case, I want my smartphone to work harder.

It seems easy to make a smartphone case with Leather craft, but I find it difficult to make it easy to use. I wanted to make the structure that the flap can be folded to the opposite side like a commercially available case. And the size is also important. Usability is the most important because you always carry it around and touch it many times a day.

This time, using soft chrome shrink leather and super strong double-sided tape introduced by Melody Channel, I was able to clear my concerns.

Even so, the cheap punch is not sharp …。
